Urrrgh, this morning is hot…very hot. All the windows are open and the air isn’t moving ;-(
And I think I really do have hayfever, judging by the amount of sneezing and eye rubbing i’ve been doing.
Thursday night I went to the Firework display launch of the Bradford Festival, which was pretty spectacular, lights, music and fireworks and a little smattering of civic pride…and gin and tonic…
Had a really good if unplanned weekend tho. Bunny and Simon J arrived on Friday after work and we went to the art show at Leeds Met to see the painting of me which was cool although i’m still not used to seeing an 8ft high version of me on the wall it was good to see it in situ with the other 5 paintings. The other students had some really neat stuff on show too. Then we dashed back to Bradford to go out and get horrifically drunk and dance like loons at the student union.
Saturday we chilled out in Bradford, wandered round the city centre looking at the various other bits and bobs that were happening for the festival, then at 10pm wandered up to Exchange Square for a outdoor theatre show, which despite being free. Was frankly surreal and a bit crap. It rather defies description but suffice to say the group of us who are usually quite supportive of the arts and culture were all heard to murmur things about how our council tax was being spent
Then sunday, more relaxing in the sun (which i seem to have caught quite considerably) then off to the gym for my third session of the week….having rejoined last week I must keep up the motivation!
